Activities

The Bioparc and our team of enthusiastic naturalist-guides invite you to participate in our exciting program of events. Come explore the diverse richness of the region's ecology by joining us for various activities.


Visit the Bioparc in the evening, too! What do the animals do after dark? Who is sleeping and who is out and about? Find out by participating in our nocturnal activities. The cougar is always amazing as it lurks in the shadows just a few feet away.

Here is our Summer Daily Program:

 

Feeding Tour

Follow the animal caretakers who will introduce you to their fury friends and see them during their mealtime. You will discover how cougars catch their prey and what seals eat. 

10:00 am and 2:00 pm          Seals feeding

10:45 am and 3:00 pm          Cougars and lynx feeding

11:15 am and 3:30 pm          Racoons and otters feeding

11:45 am and 3:30 pm          Black bears feeding

 

Interactive Presentations on the Ecology of the Gaspé Coast

Our naturalists will share secrets whit you about gaspesian wildlife. You will get the chance to touch skulls, claws, pelts and even live animals! Follow the animal caretakers and they'll introduce you to their charges.

Every day from June to October  

- The life of walking stick (Insect handling), from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

- The honeybee (Beekeepers and bees), from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

- Discovering insects (Cockroaches, tarantulas, scorpions, etc.), from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

- What antlers do I wear? (Antlers of the deer family), from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm

- Mysterious creatures (Amphibians and reptiles), from 10:00 am to 11:00 am and from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm

- Between the tides (Marine invertebrates), from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

- Save Henry! (Puppet theatre), only tuesdays and saturdays at 2:00 pm.

 

These activities are presented primarly in french. You can ask your questions in english about these subjets.

 

Groups activities

Guided tour of the Ecosystems :


Learn about the 5 fascinating ecosystem of the Gaspé Coast. Come and discover unique animal adaptations and see them interact with their natural environments. Our naturalist guides will also explane to you what impact the human has on our biosphere and what relationship there are between the animal species of the Gaspe Coast.

Duration: 1:30. 

Note: A minimum of 10 people is required, by reservation only.
